Geography

The western part of the locality is rural in character with the land use being entirely grazing on native vegetation. The eastern part of the locality is adjacent to Townsville's south-western surburban sprawl and the land use is a mixture of rural residential housing, intensive animal husbandry, and irrigated horticulture.{{Queensland Globe|access-date=23 September 2023}}
History
