John Baxter (15 October 1936 – 12 December 2014) was a Scottish footballer, who played as a wing half for Hibernian, Falkirk and Clydebank during the 1950s and 1960s.{{cite web |url=http://www.neilbrown.newcastlefans.com/player12/johnbaxter.htm |title=John Baxter |work= |publisher=Neil Brown |date= |accessdate=8 September 2015}} He was capped once by Scotland at under-23 level,{{cite web|url=http://www.fitbastats.com/scotlandu23/player.php?playerid=51|title=John Baxter profile|work=www.fitbastats.com|accessdate=13 October 2012}} and played for Hibs in the 1958 Scottish Cup Final, which Hibs lost 1–0 to Clyde.
