Moj Garh Fort is a historic fort, about {{cvt|70|km}} from Bahawalnagar, along the YazmanFort Abbas road in Thandi Khoi.{{Cite web|url=http://beta.dawn.com/news/1014610/desert-rangers-to-preserve-moj-garh-fort|title=Desert Rangers to 'preserve' Moj Garh Fort|date=May 29, 2013|website=Dawn}} It is in the Cholistan Desert near the border with India.

History

Moj Garh Fort was constructed by Emperor Maroof Khan Kehrani in 1743 AD.{{Cite web|url=https://tribune.com.pk/story/1465783/derelict-moj-garh-fort-desperate-need-renovation|title=Derelict Moj Garh Fort in desperate need of renovation|date=July 25, 2017|website=The Express Tribune}} It was built using solid bricks and mud and was decorated with glazed tiles. A dome was constructed {{cvt|400|yd|order=flip}} south of the fort.

Preservation

By the turn of the century{{Vague|date=October 2023}}, Moj Garh Fort had collapsed, and only its crumbled structure remains. The Desert Rangers have since taken over the fort and initiated preservation and rehabilitation efforts.
