Merge Mqm usa chapter
The new stub article would need a lot of work, and renaming, to be worth keeping - seems more appropriate to expand the information on international chapters in the "Party structure" section. PamD 17:52, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

content removal
Hi - I removed this -
In 2010. after 18 long years Brigadiar Imtiaz and General Naseer Akhtar confessed and confirmed on Live Television that the story of Jinnahpur was fabricated and it was a drama staged by Brigadiar Asif Haroon. However they did not disclose the names of the people or institutions which were backing the named officer. However, this political charade proved costly for the Urdu speaking Karachiites as thousands lost their lives in the heavy-handed crackdown by the law enforcement agencies - particularly under the supervision of Naseerullah Babar, who was the federal Interior Minister of the PPP.
the youtube video was not an official upload and a likely copyright violation - feel free to reliably support and replace - thanks - Off2riorob (talk) 00:09, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I have also tagged the whole article as needing references - there is a fair bit of the contentr that is uncited and a fair bit is waekly cited to unreliable locations and the format of the citations also needs a fair bit of work - if anyone is able ot address these issues that would be extremely beneficial to the article - I can assist with the formating but I would need some assistance with any foreign language externals and assessment of the reliability of some of the sources. Off2riorob (talk) 00:14, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
Biased tag?
I'd also suggest that this article is flagged as potentially biased. There are some very sunny-sounding sentences which rely solely on statements made by the party's leadership as evidence.

Victim of Taliban attacks
−
Taliban have launched many attacks on MQM workers recently and have killed several Mqm workers. The MQM is against the spread of Islam through violence and force only maligns the faith.[http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/07/world/asia/taliban-bomb-kills-at-least-20-at-a-pakistan-political-rally.html?_r=0[http://dawn.com/2012/11/02/pakistani-taliban-threaten-to-target-mqm/

edit of 'designated terrorist organisation' to 'Federal Court of Canada Ruling'
i have changed the title of the topic as mentioned and i have also added few sentences
"MQM is not designated as terrorist organisation by the Government of Canada however, it has fully functional organisation in the country [, and MQM is not enlisted as a terrorist entity by the Government of Canada["
i have also removed the category "designated terrorist groups in Canada
thank you
Title
Since now Muttahida Qaumi Movement is divided between MQM Pakistan and MQM UK so I think we should rename this page either to MQM Pakistan or MQM UK. Farooq Sattar has been expelled by MQM UK leadership while Prime Minister of Pakistan has recently recognised MQM Pakistan formally as well Farooq Sattar as its leader. Opinions please. --Saqib (talk) 16:01, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
Changing Title from Muttahida Qaumi Movement to Muttahida Qaumi Movement Smuhammadnabeel (talk) 17:54, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
Please do not change the title, there is no such thing London, Muttahida Qaumi Movement is only one name under the leadership of Mr. Altaf Hussain. London or Pakistan name defined by Pakistan law force agency. Please delete this Word from all over the place.
please don't change the title of this page to Muttahida Qaumi Movement London, there is only one recognized party according to election commission of Pakistan that is muttahida Qaumi Movement and there is no word 'Pakistan' attached to it since Muttahida Qaumi movement Pakistan is just one of several chapters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement which includes MQM UK, MQM USA, MQM South Africa, MQM Canada, MQM Australia etc, the MQM official website also contains the name 'Muttahida Qaumi Movenment'.
As for the article 'Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan' it is not recognized by the ECP but as a forward bloc within Muttahida Qaumi Movement' and since some parliamentarians recognize their facion with such name.
i have brought the page to its original title
regards
:User:Rameezraja001: As per press sources, the MQM is now divided into two factions. One is led by Altaf Hussain while the other by Farooq Sattar. The one led by Altaf Hussain is being referred as MQM London while the latter one as MQM Pakistan. So as per news sources, I've renamed this page because its no more just "Muttahida Qaumi Movement", it has become "Muttahida Qaumi Movement London". One solution could be we merge MQM Pakistan into this one. Since most of the party parliamentarian now with Farooq Sattar led MQM so we mention him as the current leader of the party instead of Hussain. --Saqib (talk) 05:38, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
please don't make it a political argument,
Farooq Sattar's party is called MQM-Pakistan, you can check their website which is MQMPakistan.org, Farooq Sattar has called his faction MQM-Pakistan and has cited 22 August as the formation date of his faction so it cannot belong to thi page.
MQM's website (MQM.org) calls itself just MQM, i can show several press releases where MQM has rejected using MQM London as its name. An organisation can call itself whatever the name it pleases and media is a nobody to change the name of a political organisation.
i hope you are satisfied now, i'll make a naming detail to elaborate the naming controversy
regards
case closed.
:User:Rameezraja001: It seems you're here to defend MQM rather than improving Wikipedia. First of all, avoid adding non-independent sources to cite the content that you're adding to the page. Cite only third party and reliable sources. We're not obliged to see what the parties wrote in their websites and press releases, we write pages here as per what reported by the reliable third party sources. For instance, according to Election Commission of Pakistan, Muttahida Qaumi Movement is registered as "Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan" by Farooq Sattar. --Saqib (talk) 07:50, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

MQM Ideology Dispute resoution
MQM`s founder and leader Mr. Altaf Hussain believes in Muhajir nationalism, how can we call it a secular and liberal party if it advocates Muhajir nationalism through both militant and political means and goes on to oppose certain other ethnic groups present in the city of Karachi where the party enjoys considerable support among the Muhajir diaspora. https://www.dawn.com/news/1419725https://www.geo.tv/latest/114347-British-MP-aims-to-have-MQM-declared-terrorist-organisation. Based on its violent activities a federal court in Canada also declared the MQM as a terrorist organization in 2006, banning the entry of MQM members to Canada.https://karachiexpress.wordpress.com/2011/04/15/mqm-declared-a-terrorist-organization-by-a-canadian-court/.
