Relavance

What relavance does the Great Sand Dunes have to US285? 285 is way further west, and the Sand Dunes if associated with any road is Colorado State Highway 17, or US 160. Those are the only roads with access points to the Sand Dunes, or what about CO 150, which is the ONLY road that actually accesses the National Park. Is there any reason to associate these two? I'm feeling like the reference should be deleted, can anyone give me reason not to?

History notes

;State highway numbers

  • TX: 82, 192, 17
  • NM: 2, 74 (116 until 1926)
  • CO: 163, 17, (US 450), 15, 8

The only auto trail US 285 follows was a branch of the Ozark Trails south of Roswell.

Denver junction list

This article contained a junction list for a short section of the route that is a freeway in the Denver area. I moved that list to Talk:U.S. Route 285 in Colorado until a state page can be created. Fortguy (talk) 16:45, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
