Zandhuizen ({{langx|fy|Sânhuzen}}) is a village in Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. The village was first mentioned in 1543 as Santhuesen, and means sand houses.{{cite web|url=https://etymologiebank.nl/trefwoord/zandhuizen |title=Zandhuizen - (geografische naam) |website=Etymologiebank |access-date=2 April 2022 |language=nl}} Zandhuizen was probably founded as an outpost of the monastery Rinsumageest in the 11th century.
