{{Baloch people}}

Balochi cuisine is the food and cuisine of the Baloch people native to the Balochistan region spanning Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan – as well as diasporan communities worldwide. Balochi food has a regional variance in contrast to the many cuisines of Pakistan and Iran.{{efn|The Balochi food is heavily inspired by climate and terrain{{cite news |last1=Sana |first1=Jamal |title=Food mapping and telling the untold story of Balochistan cuisines |url=https://gulfnews.com/world/asia/pakistan/food-mapping-and-telling-the-untold-story-of-balochistan-cuisines-1.88364048 |access-date=25 October 2024 |work=Gulf News |date=4 June 2022 |language=en}}}}{{cite web|title=Baloch Cuisine|url=http://www.pakistantumhetoho.com.pk/BalochCuisine|publisher=pakistantumhetoho.com|access-date=12 March 2014|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140105234231/http://www.pakistantumhetoho.com.pk/BalochCuisine|archive-date=5 January 2014|url-status=dead}}{{cite web|title=Food Baloch Culture|url=http://balochculture.net/2013/03/12/theeni-naan/|publisher=balochculture.net|access-date=12 March 2014|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140312212109/http://balochculture.net/2013/03/12/theeni-naan/|archive-date=12 March 2014|url-status=dead}}

Meat

Meat is the most commonly consumed food in Balochi cuisine. Most meat dishes are cooked on indirect heat with limited spices to preserve the real taste, such as sajji and dampukht. Another traditional dish that is preserved from generations is known as tabaheg—a dish of an entire goat marinated with dried pomegranate and salt.{{cite web |title=Discovering flavours and tastes of Balochistan|date=30 April 2022 |url=https://www.dawn.com/news/1687423|access-date=10 January 2024}}{{Cite web | title="تباهگ" زینت بخش سفره های سحری مردم بلوچستان|trans-title="Tabaheg" adorns the Suhar tables of the people of Balochistan|url=https://www.irna.ir/news/82929502/%D8%AA%D8%A8%D8%A7%D9%87%DA%AF-%D8%B2%DB%8C%D9%86%D8%AA-%D8%A8%D8%AE%D8%B4-%D8%B3%D9%81%D8%B1%D9%87-%D9%87%D8%A7%DB%8C-%D8%B3%D8%AD%D8%B1%DB%8C-%D9%85%D8%B1%D8%AF%D9%85-%D8%A8%D9%84%D9%88%DA%86%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%A7%D9%86|agency=Islamic Republic News Agency |date=29 May 2018 |language=fa}}
