The Bull Fire was a wildfire that scorched {{convert|16442|acre}} of land in Kern County, California. The fire, which started on July 26, was the largest wildfire of the 2010 California wildfire season, as well as one of the most destructive with 16 structures being destroyed. As the fire progressed it burned mainly grass and brush on both sides of the Kern River.{{cite news|title=Firefighters gain ground against blazes in Kern County, California|url=http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/07/29/california.wildfires.progress/|access-date=19 August 2015|publisher=CNN|date=29 July 2010}} By July 29 the fire had burned nearly {{convert|16000|acre}} and was 12% contained.
