Stories from the British science fiction series Doctor Who that are purely historical in nature with no science fiction elements aside from the presence of the Doctor, his companions and his TARDIS. Compare with pseudohistoricals which are set in Earth's past but have a strong science fiction or fantasy element.
All these stories were from the First Doctor’s era, except The Highlanders, which came shortly after the First Doctor regenerated into the Second Doctor, and Black Orchid, which took place during the Fifth Doctor’s era.
