Mr. Ben Eyabu is a Ugandan Economist, Banker and currently the Head of Credit at UGAFODE Microfinance. He was born in Amuria District in North Eastern Uganda in the 1972. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Makerere University. He dedicated his work career to Banking and Microfinance sectors managing lending operations targeting Micro and SMEs engaged in all key business sectors including trade, agriculture, transport, housing, renewable energy, education, recreational services etc.. with the main focus on customer segments such women, youth, forcefully Displace Persons (Refugees) and members of their host communities. He is Fellow of the Microfinance Association (London, UK).

He is also an Alumni member of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Education on Financial Institutions for Private Enterprise Development (USA) and a seasoned Credit Trainer, Mentor and a Coach for staff of financial institutions involved in originating, underwriting and managing credit portfolios. He is Certified Master Project Manager (MPM) of the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM) with a rich hands-on experience in conducting market research, developing and implemented innovative credit and saving products including Collaborative Credit Schemes for housing, clean energy and automobile finance.
