Jean and Geoffrey, along with their partner John, won silver at the Pan American Karate Championships in Medellín, Colombia in August 2013. It marked the first appearance of Canada in the finals of that event in the 24 year history of the Championships, putting Canada on the map. Taking all sports into account, he was the Grand Champion at the BC Winter Games in 2012, reaching the final in all 4 events including Individual Kata, Individual Kumite, Team Kata and Team Kumite.
