Thomas Shoichi Ogata (1917 – 1983)https://encyclopedia.densho.org/Thomas%20Ogata was a justice of the Supreme Court of Hawaii from February 5, 1974 to December 30, 1981.

Ogata's predecessor, Kazuhisa Abe, resigned from the court in December 1973 to enable Governor John A. Burns to appoint his successor, with Burns then appointing Ogata to the seat.Douglas Boswell, "Burns dealt a blow on appointments", The Honolulu Advertiser (July 27, 1974), p. 1.
