According to source for :File:The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin cover.jpg, the original artist was Beatrix Potter and I believe that that's correct. For :File:Beatrix Potter Jeremy Fisher Cover2.jpg, the "author" is given as Potter, but that may well apply only to the drawing -- the parts used, which is the layout of a circular area for a picture on a green bookcover and the typography of the imprint "F. Warne & Co." -- is probably the work of some person who designed the covers for the series in the early 20th century. If this wasn't Potter, its some unknown person whose identity cannot now be recovered easily, or at all, so unfortunately I can't acknowledge the person by name.
