The domain name gained mainstream coverage in March 2015, when it redirected to the English Wikipedia entry for American rapper Kanye West. Marlow Stern of The Daily Beast suggested that the redirect was done in response to West's reactions to American singer Beck's album Morning Phase winning Album of the Year at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.{{Cite web |url=http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/03/01/the-internet-is-trolling-kanye-west-loser-com-redirects-to-kanye-s-wikipedia-page.html |title=The Internet Is Trolling Kanye West: Loser.com Redirects to Kanye's Wikipedia Page |last=Stern |first=Marlow |date=March 1, 2015 |work=The Daily Beast |access-date=April 5, 2017 |archive-date=April 6, 2017 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170406021434/http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/03/01/the-internet-is-trolling-kanye-west-loser-com-redirects-to-kanye-s-wikipedia-page.html |url-status=live }} Ryan Gajewski of The Hollywood Reporter and Christopher Hooton of The Independent both suggested that the domain name was a Beck reference because "Loser" is one of Beck's most notable songs.{{Cite web |url=http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/losercom-redirects-kanye-wests-wikipedia-778827 |title=Loser.com Redirects to Kanye West's Wikipedia Page |last=Gajewski |first=Ryan |date=March 2, 2015 |newspaper=The Hollywood Reporter |accessdate=April 5, 2017 |archive-date=April 6, 2017 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170406023030/http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/losercom-redirects-kanye-wests-wikipedia-778827 |url-status=live }}{{Cite web |url=https://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/someone-made-losercom-redirect-to-kanye-wests-wikipedia-page-10079452.html |title=Someone made Loser.com redirect to Kanye West's Wikipedia page |last=Hooton |first=Christopher |date=March 2, 2015 |newspaper=The Independent |accessdate=April 5, 2017 |archive-date=April 6, 2017 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170406110343/http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/someone-made-losercom-redirect-to-kanye-wests-wikipedia-page-10079452.html |url-status=live }} In an interview with Stern on March 5, Connelly admitted that he had a negative impression of West and intended the redirection as a troll attempt on the rapper.

In February 2016, the website redirected to the English Wikipedia entry for then-US presidential candidate Donald Trump after he placed second in the Iowa caucus.{{Cite magazine |url=https://time.com/4204929/donald-trump-trolled-loser-wikipedia/ |title=Loser.com Now Redirects to Donald Trump's Wikipedia Page |last=White |first=Daniel |date=February 2, 2016 |magazine=Time |access-date=April 5, 2017 |archive-date=December 24, 2016 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20161224075809/http://time.com/4204929/donald-trump-trolled-loser-wikipedia/ |url-status=live }} Defending the move, Connelly described Trump as "a man who attacks Muslims, who attacks Muslim Americans, who pushes fear and doubt" and "the definition of a loser".{{Cite web |url=https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-intersect/wp/2016/02/02/man-behind-the-updated-loser-com-donald-trump-is-the-definition-of-a-loser/ |title=Man behind the updated Loser.com: Donald Trump 'is the definition of a loser' |last=Dewey |first=Caitlin |date=February 2, 2016 |newspaper=The Washington Post |accessdate=April 5, 2017 |archive-date=April 2, 2017 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170402032652/https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-intersect/wp/2016/02/02/man-behind-the-updated-loser-com-donald-trump-is-the-definition-of-a-loser/ |url-status=live }}

When asked about his motives with his redirects, Connelly said the year 2000 redirect to losing Tennessee gubernatorial candidate Bill Daley's website was because "I think he was anti-gay". He had "no comment" about the 2002 redirect to an opposition site targeting South Carolina Governor Jim Hodges.

On November 8, 2020, it again redirected to the English Wikipedia entry for Donald Trump, as Trump refused to concede the 2020 United States presidential election after being defeated by Joe Biden, the 47th Vice President of the United States and President of the United States-elect.{{Cite web|last=Roach|first=April|date=2020-11-10|title=Loser.com web domain links straight to Donald Trump's Wikipedia page|url=https://www.standard.co.uk/news/us-politics/loser-com-donald-trump-wikipedia-b62639.html|access-date=2020-11-10|website=www.standard.co.uk|language=en|archive-date=March 1, 2021|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20210301220438/https://www.standard.co.uk/news/us-politics/loser-com-donald-trump-wikipedia-b62639.html|url-status=live}}
