In March 2012, she won the Amir of Kuwait International Shooting Grand Prix, but at the award ceremony, Oh Kazakhstan, the parody national anthem from the 2006 film Borat, was mistakenly played instead of Menıñ Qazaqstanym. The team complained, and the award ceremony was restaged. The incident apparently resulted from the wrong song being downloaded from the Internet.{{Cite web|url=http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/borat-anthem-played-mistake-medals-ceremony-112050453.html|title=Borat anthem played by mistake at medals ceremony|work=Eurosport |date=24 March 2012 |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120326205959/http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/borat-anthem-played-mistake-medals-ceremony-112050453.html |archive-date=26 March 2012}}{{cite news | url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-17491344 | work=BBC News | title=Borat anthem stuns Kazakh gold medallist in Kuwait | date=23 March 2012 | access-date=21 June 2018 | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180718165835/https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-17491344 | archive-date=18 July 2018 | url-status=live}}
