Pedobacter cryoconitis is a species of bacteria. It is facultatively psychrophilic, Gram-negative, aerobic and rod-shaped strain, having been first isolated from alpine glacier cryoconite. It is also non-flagellated and non-spore-forming, with type strain A37T (=DSM 14825T =LMG 21415T).{{cite journal|last1=Margesin|first1=R.|title=Pedobacter cryoconitis sp. nov., a facultative psychrophile from alpine glacier cryoconite|journal=International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology|volume=53|issue=5|year=2003|pages=1291–1296|issn=1466-5026|doi=10.1099/ijs.0.02436-0|pmid=13130009|doi-access=free}}
