=Second title and disbandment=

In a vibrating match against local rivals Sporting CP, trailing 2–0 at Nave de Alvalade, Benfica, now led by captain José Jardim, alongside teammates Nuno Brites, Luís Quelhas, Nilson Júnior, Eduardo Gallina, Miguel Silva, Márcio Karas, Davidkov, and Radoslav Peytchev, managed to recover the disadvantage and win the match 3–2, claiming their second title.{{cite news|author=Alberto Miguéns|url=https://em-defesa-do-benfica.blogspot.pt/2011_10_05_archive.html|title=Dia 39 302 SLB|trans-title=Day 39 302 SLB|work=Em Defesa do Benfica|date=5 October 2011|access-date=11 August 2012}}{{cite news|url=https://www.record.pt/modalidades/detalhe/voleibol-velhas-glorias-sofrem-no-banco.html|title=Voleibol: "Velhas" glórias sofrem no banco|trans-title=Volleyball: "Old" players suffer on the bench|work=Record|date=15 April 2005|access-date=11 August 2012}}{{cite news|title=Voleibol: Jogo especial marca reencontro de amigos|trans-title=Volleyball: Special match sets new friends gathering|url=https://www.record.pt/modalidades/detalhe/voleibol-jogo-especial-marca-reencontro-de-amigos.html|access-date=23 June 2018|work=Record|date=31 October 2007|language=pt}}
