The project is helmed by producer Inflo and lead vocalist/songwriter Cleo Sol. Kid Sister, Chronixx and Jack Peñate have also collaborated with the project. The group frequently puts Black-centric issues at the foreground.{{Cite web |last=Aswad |first=Jem |url=https://variety.com/2020/music/reviews/saults-untitled-rise-album-review-1234775193/ |work=Variety |language=en-US |title=Sault's Untitled (Rise) Seduces Listeners with Sumptuous R&B, Then Startles with Powerful Messaging |date=18 September 2020 |access-date=15 November 2020}}
