Syntrophomonas curvata is a bacterium. It is anaerobic, syntrophic (in association with methanogens) and fatty acid-oxidizing. Its type strain is GB8-1T (=CGMCC 1.5010T =DSM 15682T).{{cite journal|last1=Zhang|first1=C.|title=Syntrophomonas curvata sp. nov., an anaerobe that degrades fatty acids in co-culture with methanogens|journal=International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology|volume=54|issue=3|year=2004|pages=969–973|issn=1466-5026|doi=10.1099/ijs.0.02903-0|pmid=15143051|doi-access=free}}
