''The Girl can't Help It''

The theme song of this movie was sung by Little Richard. Abbey Lincoln sang a song called "Spread the Word," and that's all that's listed at IMDb. Was there a version of the title song by her that ended up on the cutting-room floor?

Among her other note-worthy schieve, ments was the first American of african descent to sport an "Afro" (otherwise known as a "Natural") hairdo, which did not involve any oils and such to 'straighten out' her natural "kinky" hair, which was made to be looked down upon for centries by white, caucasian social "conventions" as being shameful, to much reactive "controversey", and, in some quarters, derision. She appeared on one of the 1950s "variety" TV shows; I beieve it was "The Jack Parr Show" --184.248.1.71 (talk) 00:53, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Veryverser
