Article needs to be rewritten from scratch
This article is packed with blunt violations of WP:OR and WP:RS, and therefore needs to be rewritten from scratch. Theseare just two examples:
- "Artistic activities, including the earliest known examples of Afghan literature "can be traced back as early as 18,000 BC"."
- "In the Islamic era, the country's artistic work flourished during the Ghaznavids of the 10th to 12th centuries and by the Ghurid dynasty who commonly used Persian language."

:{{U|LouisAragon}}, I rewrote some parts. Also, [https://plex.page/Pre-Islamic_scripts_in_Afghanistan This User-generated website] has copied the content from Wikipedia and it seems this article is not WP:OR. Please see [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Afghan_literature&oldid=967205031 11 July 2020 revision] vs [https://plex.page/Pre-Islamic_scripts_in_Afghanistan 12 July 2021]. Authors and poets section
Should this redirect to Persian-language authors and poets? What about the authors and poets who write in Pashto, such as listed in Pashto literature and poetry, or even better, a page specificially for Afghan authors and poets? Suppposedly (talk) 01:21, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
Proverbs
Should the proverbs be in this article? It doesn't seem well researched/cited and I'm not sure if proverbs count as literature? Suppposedly (talk) 01:23, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
