Bi-National
"Their courtship caused controversy in Germany because Barbara is bi-racial" needs some citation. I do not remember such a controversy, and can hardly even imagine such a thing in modern Germany for cultural reasons. :I cannot remember of such an alleged controversy either. I'm German. By that time (late 80s, early 90s), Boris was almost weekly in the headlines of German Newspapers / TV. So such a controversy hardly could have happend unnoticed. Christoph Scholz 09:06, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
::As I remember: There was controversy about the bi-nationality of Babara Feltus and their courtship in US instead of Germany. I think that was a confusion about that. --195.243.248.124 11:11, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Correct Last Name
This page should be renamed to Barbara Quinze. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.28.155.49 (talk) 02:53, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Agreed. She was born Feltus and her last husband was Quizne. Looks like the name Becker is worth more than any other name, and $14.5 million was still not enough :) Hassanfarooqi (talk) 15:27, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
She did not use the last name Quinze even during her marriage to Quinze, when media reports consistently referred to her as Barbara Becker.[https://diepresse.com/home/leben/mensch/525507/Barbara-Becker-zwischen-Unicef-und-Swarovski][http://www.gala.de/stars/news/arne-quinze---barbara-becker--neue-details-ueber-die-trennung-20081358.html] HouseOfChange (talk) 14:57, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
"Personal life"
The current "Personal life" section is mostly uncited gossip and opinion, very unencyclopedic in tone. I am going to try to rewrite it based on WP:RS. HouseOfChange (talk) 14:59, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
And now the article is even worse
Added in [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Barbara_Becker&type=revision&diff=861343180&oldid=854574239 this edit]:
:Barbara Becker continues to make a name for herself in many fields and is considered a passionate, successful and motivated woman. She is regarded as a contemporary style icon.
:Barbara Becker is a highly successful entrepreneur. She has an intuitive sense for what is achievable as well as purposeful persuasion. Like no other woman, she stands for trend security, body awareness and creativity.
:Barbara’s fashion items are currently available at qvc.com where, once a month, she personally presents the daily offer for her collection on live TV.
Although perhaps my favorite is the change (in the same edit) from "German-American" to "German", on the strength of a reference to an LA Times article titled "Becker's Divorce Battle With American Wife Rivets Germans". -- Hoary (talk) 07:19, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
:Oh Sandstein, I think I warned y'all. -- Hoary (talk) 07:28, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
::Well, feel free to improve the article or to renominate it for deletion; I don't have any particular opinion about whether the person is notable. Sandstein 07:31, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
If the gushing tone of [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Barbara_Becker&type=revision&diff=861343180&oldid=854574239 this edit] isn't enough to persuade you, see its edit summary. -- Hoary (talk) 07:23, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
