Charlayne Woodard is an Award-winning American film, stage and television actor and playwright. On Broadway, she was nominated for Tony and Drama Desk awards for her role in the original company of “Ain’t Misbehavin’”. She is noted for her recurring television role as Janice in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. She has also appeared in television programs such as Chicago Hope and Law & Order. Other tv credits include the starring role in the Showtime movie, “Run For The Dream: The Gail Devers’ Story”, Oprah Winfrey’s “The Wedding”, and “Chicago Hope”. Currently, Ms. Woodard appears as "Tarrisa Dyson" on "Terminator: The Sarah Connors Chronicles" and as “Sister Peg” on “Law and Order, Special Victims Unit”. Most recently, she recurred on the series "ER," and guest starred on "Shark" and "Injustice". On film she is arguably best known for her role as Tituba in The Crucible, alongside Daniel Day Lewis and Winona Ryder. Other recent film credits include: John Sayle’s “Sunshine State”; M. Night Shyamalan’s “Unbreakable”; Wim Wender’s “Million Dollar Hotel”; Arthur Miller's “The Crucible”; John Schlesinger’s “Eye For An Eye” and “Around The Fire.”
