Mechanism diagram
The diagram in the mechanism section, :File:Corey-Winter_olefination_mechanism_v1.svg, looks wrong to me. After the departure of the neutral molecule SP(OMe)3, a carbene should remain, but a carbanion is shown. The text above mentions a carbene. If a carbanion is actually formed, it must have a counter cation somewhere. --Ben (talk) 16:59, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
