Darby Free Library
The Darby Free Library is believed to be the oldest continuously operating public library in the United States, having been started by 29 Quaker townsmen, who received its first shipment of books from England in November, 1743, making it 266 years old in 2009. --DThomsen8 (talk) 01:51, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
