The name of the dehydroacetic acid

I guess the name "dehydro" is because it does come from the dehydration of the acetic acid. Using AlPO4, the acetic acid can be dehydrated to the diketene. The picture gives the mechanism of the reaction. File:Mechanism of the dehydration.png 法会因由 (talk) 16:03, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
