A tad biased regarding NPOV, although I agree with most of what is said. Might also get into more specifics about her recordings. -- Cranston Lamont 03:36, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

: I agree, and the language is not in proper wikipedia format, but since its just a stub, I dont see much harm, for now. Quase 04:45, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

lot's of work

well I tried to merge several large published biographies - amazing how distinct they are (occasionally contradictory - one says she gined her singing/vocalizing style from other singers and another says it's just wrong to do so - but I tried to merge the suggestions each made. Lot's of foot notes though the amount of detail in citation is basic and uneven.... ah well....--Smkolins 17:34, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Clean up

As the person above me, THREE YEARS AGO, did, I spent more than half a day mucking around to try to clean up the article, and addedd a new photo. I really, really wish that all the attention that is lavished upon new editors for starting new articles would only go to them after they have finished what they started!! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 05:45, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

In or Had?

The article says:

By 1998, Diana married Krishna Booker, son of jazz bassist Walter Booker, nephew of saxophonist Wayne Shorter and godson of pianist Herbie Hancock.

But it would be better put as:

In 1998, Diana married Krishna Booker, son of jazz bassist Walter Booker, nephew of saxophonist Wayne Shorter and godson of pianist Herbie Hancock.

Or:

By 1998, Diana had married Krishna Booker, son of jazz bassist Walter Booker, nephew of saxophonist Wayne Shorter and godson of pianist Herbie Hancock.

The only reason I haven't changed it is because I'm not sure which is correct (they have different meanings).

:The article originally said "In" until User:Leahtwosaints {{Querylink|Flora Purim|qs=&diff=377942383&oldid=373596163|changed it on 9 August 2010}} to "By". I'm going to restore "In". -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 10:29, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

::Ok, thanks. Eman235(talk) 00:06, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

:I think the issue is that we don't know the date of the marriage - only that they were married by 1998. Perhaps check the source. --Smkolins (talk) 00:59, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

::Ok...but the reference is a dead link, "as of March 2014". Eman235(talk) 18:01, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

ABout Flora Purim

Hello,

My name is Niura Band.

I wanted to ad something to Flora Purim's biography on her personal life.

Flora was married to Ary Band ( Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) in 1960 and separated in 1962.

She had a daughter; that's me.

I stayed in Brazil with my father and only moved in with her in 1979.

I wonder if this would be possible to ad this information to her biography.

You can contact me at: niura1962@gmail.com

Thank you,

Niura — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:6107:7500:1513:CEA9:1319:9445 (talk) 22:10, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

:Niura, personal information isn't sufficient for wikipedia. You need reliable sources for information. Many things will be obvious to you however information can easily and often have one side vs and not another. To settle matters of neutral point of view wikipedia relies on good sources. --Smkolins (talk) 01:25, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
