There was a FoodLand near where I grew up, just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I don't know if they are the same chain or not.

Local Ownership

Actually, Star is still locally owned, and Times Markets were locally owned until very recently.

I'll see if I can dig up some info to verify this, and if it's true, then adjust the claim in the article that Foodland is the only locally-owned supermarket chain. -- Hawaiian717 16:47, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
