{{backwardscopy|url=http://francesdelatour.com/bio/|title=Biography|author=francesdelatour.com|date=ca. July-October, 2009|comments=The bulk of this content was introduced in [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Frances_de_la_Tour&diff=74745370&oldid=73556667 September 2006], but some of the material predates it. For one notable example, we see a quotation that is used in the external site was introduced to the article [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Frances_de_la_Tour&diff=prev&oldid=71780263 here], a couple of weeks before the rest of the content. Beyond that, we see that the external site refers to an event in 2007, after the bulk of the content was placed here, and we find that this sentence was added to our article in isolation in [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Frances_de_la_Tour&diff=271228731&oldid=269783524 in February 2009]. Subsequent to that edit, changes to our article both [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Frances_de_la_Tour&diff=next&oldid=300512545 small] and [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Frances_de_la_Tour&diff=next&oldid=301928586 large] are also reflected in the external site. Such signs of natural evolution strongly support the crafting of the content here, as it is quite unlikely that our editors pasted bits and pieces from that source in proper sequence over the years. The earliest archived version I can find of that article is [http://web.archive.org/web/20091017061134/http://francesdelatour.com/bio/ 17 October 2009]. This can be off by six months or so, but I believe that they copied the article from Wikipedia sometime between that archived date and mid-July, when the last substantial edit before their archive was made. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:19, 27 September 2013 (UTC)}}

French?

While she is from England, is there a source for her being of French descent? Michael 04:56, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

: Not that i know of, although her name would seem to suggest some french connection. Anyhoo, she apparently went to a French-speaking secondary school (isn't that the place madonna's kids go?), so that' something. Amo 05:51, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Are there any public domain photos of her, or publicity shots that can be used here?Peel 04:07, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Unneccessary Bias

"a portrayal widely considered one of the finest in British comedy history"... hmm... no bias there, then?

Deleted.

4 equals 3

"She won the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award four times"

... and then you list 3 items ...

this looks a bit unresearched.

Ellis Island

I have added her performance in Ellis Island, it has linked to the former immigration station rather than mini series. I'm a first time editor how do I change it? Angryped (talk) 18:36, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

:Hello A. A disambiguation was needed. I fixed it with [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Frances_de_la_Tour&type=revision&diff=877770064&oldid=877760146 this] edit. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 19:51, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

Deathly Hallows

Was she in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010)? This film has recently been removed from the filmography, and there's no mention of her in the cast list on the film's own article, or on IMDB. But we still mention it in the lede, and again in the body of the article; and we cite a (not-very-reliable) source at n. 8 which reports her appearing as a wedding guest. Maybe her appearance was cut, or maybe it was too fleeting to get into cast lists. I don't know the answer, but we need to be consistent. It certainly doesn't seem worth mentioning in the lede. :You are correct {{u|Eric Pode lives}}. As you've brought it to other editors attention please feel free to remove it. Even if a source is ever found that does show she was in the film the info does not belong in the lede. Thanks for your post. MarnetteD|Talk 16:58, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

::OK: I have now deleted both mentions of the film, pending the discovery of new information. Eric Pode lives (talk) 18:21, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
