{{Substituted comment|length=964|lastedit=20091016205630|comment=I represent the Extruded Polstyrene Foam Association (XPSA)in the United States. Our members collectively manufacture over 95% of all XPS foam destined for North American markets.
The value percentage for the percentage of HBCD used in XPS insulation boards produced in North America is in a range of .5 - 1.2%. The percentage of 2.5% is for Europe, where the density of the polystyrene is greater than that used in the United States.
I tried to edit the information to correct it, but it would not allow me to do so.
Please, call me or visit our website to validate that we are the "experts" here on XPS foam; and this information was obtained by a survey of XPS mfrs in North America.
Thanks for correcting this number, as otherwise it is misleading for those in the United States, Mexico and Canada using our insulation products.
