San Diego
I deleted the portion about Mrs. Blitch moving to San Diego, as most sources I found stated she was simply visiting there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.184.72.247 (talk) 00:52, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
: I have a source that says she moved there to be near her daughter: http://history.house.gov/People/Detail/9501 I may add that and revise Rtbhive (talk) 20:10, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Incorrect information?
The former lede for this article was ambiguously written, stating that Blitch was the first woman to successfully run for office from Georgia, which was not cited, and I cannot find sources that validate it. I changed the lede to emphasize her (also very impressive) status as the fourth woman to hold office in US Congress. If anyone has a good source for her being the first woman to hold state office in Georgia, please add and revise the lede. (talk) 19:15, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
:She also campaigned for Jimmy Carter in 1976, so I would assume she didn't remain a Republican for very long. 2603:7082:DA00:3:1488:28A4:8E80:91FB (talk) 15:29, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
