Birth year - 1919, or 1916?
Although official sources seem to indicate his birth year is 1919 (for example, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives website: https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/SpeakerBios/SpeakerBio.cfm?id=4), contemporaneous sources - like the Saugerties Telegraph, indicate he was born Dec 27th, 1916.
