Wondering how to edit this City Entry?
WikiProject U.S. states might help.
Clarification
"See also: Manheim Township" deleted. Manheim is a small town that is distinctly different from the Lancaster suburb of Manheim Township.

Namesake in Germany
The given reference (Gannett, 1905, p. 198) does not support the claim from the first paragraph that the place derives its name from Kerpen-Manheim, Germany. It only says on p. 198: "named from the town in Germany", which most probably refers to a different place by a similar name, Mannheim. Given that far more immigrants to Pennsylvania came from the Mannheim region than from the Kerpen-Manheim region, I doubt that the current claim is correct. Can anyone confirm my suspicion? 2003:C8:CF3F:5725:9C6C:386B:CC96:7DA5 (talk) 15:55, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
