Methanol in Tequila
According to this Reuter's report: http://go.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=oddlyEnoughNews&storyID=12080476&src=rss/oddlyEnoughNews, methanol is present in greater amounts in pure tequila. Don't know if that should go in this article.
Uses: Formaldehyde
One of the major uses of methanol is in the production of Formaldehylde which is then used to produce formaldehyde-urea resin glue used to glue plywood plys together, and in chipboard. This needs to be added....
boiler use?
Is it physically possible for methanol to be used in a boiler?, particularly in a residential apartment building's boiler? Is methanol in fact used in such boilers?, whether rarely or fairly commonly. Any thoughts would be very greatly appreciated. The article appears not to address those questions, and perhaps should. Units
The section 'Occurrence' has "The mean endogenous methanol in humans of 0.45 g/d".
'g/d' is not a common unit; is it correct or possibly a misprint? If it's correct, is the 'g' grams, and what is the 'd'? 'd' is sometimes 'day', but grams per day is a nonsense here; dl is decalitre, but (a) .45 seems very high; (b) 4.5 g/l would be a better way of saying it; and (c) it doesn't say 'dl', it says 'd'.
