I have linked this article to some others, so that readers may see the connections, however putative. In an interview last night on PBS, a commentator noted that some elements of the Taliban are, in their minds, fighting for Pashtunistan independence. Bearian (talk) 20:17, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

Instead of the region of Pashtunistan. We will be changing this to a Pashtunistan flag which has been used historically during the Pashtunistan protest; it is more accurate.

If there is any sugesstion as to why this shouldnt happend, please do write on this page

@pashtunfacts Please do not insult by leaving the Pashtun areas of Afghanistan. We call the Pashtuns living in Pakistan who seceded from Afghanistan Pashtuns, and this flag of yours is only for Pashtuns across the Durand Line, not in Afghanistan. Havvanzy (talk) 16:56, 31 January 2022 (UTC)

Bifurcation of Pashtunistan into Afghanistan and Pakistan (Durand line)

Taliban once a largely Pashtun Group has lost interest in Pashtunistan or the will to fight Pakistan

As Punjabi Faction dominates Pakistan, Pashto faction dominates Afghanistan (Socially & Politically)

ISIS K was a knee jerk reaction by Pashtun Elements in Afghanistan, who felt were being marginalized.
