Not all trigonal planar atoms have 120 deg bond angles: polar molocules have altered angles. Also, trigonal planar geomotries often denote sp2 atomic orbital hybridization.

Having said that...

All the bond/geometry rules have exceptions. Perhaps this should be accounted for in the article.

  • Why do you not participate in writing and extending the article!. You appear to have an expert opinion that Wiki can use. I agree the existence of several exceptions should not mean that you can no longer say that in general these bond angles occur. V8rik 21:17, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
