Service history

There appears to be an error in the "Service history" section if I am reading this right. The content states:

  • "Reclassified CA-16, 17 July 1920, she was renamed Old Columbia 17 November 1921, struck 21 June 1922 and sold 26 January 1922.". I am not sure that the Navy would sell a ship before it is stricken from the records, but I could be mistaken, and in any case the timeline would still be backward. ::The date of striking Columbia wasn#t in the cited reference, so I've tagged it as suspect. It may be worth seeing if someone with access to sources other than DANFS van find more data.Nigel Ish (talk) 19:28, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

:Thank you, it may very well be possible the dates are correct but is something to check on. Otr500 (talk) 23:41, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

::The doubt, for me, is on the date of decommissioned which would be June 29, 1921 (source: navsource.org) Conforoa (talk) 20:59, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

Speed

The tested speed is lower in knots but higher in m/h and km/h? Tildin (talk) 08:00, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
