• The forest has been renamed Loyalsock State Forest. The name Wyoming is for the Wyoming Valley, site of the Wyoming Valley battle and massacre, which was in a popular poem that may have led to the state name Wyoming. Ruhrfisch 15:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
