Wyoming?
Anyone have the story as to why a forest in Pennsylvania is named "Wyoming"? -- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.104.112.125 (talk • contribs) 15:20, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- The forest has been renamed Loyalsock State Forest. The name Wyoming is for the Wyoming Valley, site of the Wyoming Valley battle and massacre, which was in a popular poem that may have led to the state name Wyoming. Ruhrfisch 15:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
