I am unfamiliar with baseball terminology but would it be better to have: ::* ALT1 ... that Koji Mitsui was unsuccessful in his application to be posted to Major League Baseball twice in one offseason? If the team consents, they inform the commissioner of MLB, and then all teams in MLB hold a silent auction to determine who gets the rights to negotiate a contract with said player. In Mitsui's case, he requested his team post him twice in the same offseason, they agreed to post him both times, and no MLB team bid on him either time.
