Critical Response
Stanlaus Manthi of Business Daily Africa described the show as sharp, unfiltered, and unapologetically Kenyan in his positive review, saying: "The Hot Seat is brutal in the best way. It is like a slaughterhouse where egos go to die. The fact that the show is homegrown makes it even better.″{{Cite news |last=Manthi |first=Stanlaus |date=16 December 2024 |title=The Hot Seat: Sharp, unfiltered, and unapologetically Kenyan |url=https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/bd/lifestyle/art/the-hot-seat-sharp-unfiltered-and-unapologetically-kenyan-4859518 |access-date=1 January 2025 |work=Business Daily Africa}}
