ARV Loshan Sports was started by Ragupathy Vaamalosanan after his retirement from the radio industry for over 30 years. Known for his voice and charisma as a radio jockey, Vaamalosanan transitioned into the digital space to promote sports coverage in the Tamil language. The platform began as a Facebook page and quickly gained popularity for its timely updates, original graphics, and focus on both local and international sporting events. In addition to his Facebook presence, he expanded to YouTube, where he delivers exciting match previews, post-match reviews, and engaging analysis. His videos are especially popular during Sri Lanka's cricket matches and high-stakes games involving teams like India and Pakistan, drawing large viewership for their relatability and accuracy.
Vaamalosanan has also launched ARV Loshan News, a separate digital initiative committed to broadcasting truthful and unbiased news to the Tamil-speaking community.
