Jordan Lake (born Jordan Lake Southerland, February 25) is an American singer, songwriter, and photographer. Known for emotionally honest songwriting, genre-blending sound, and retro-pop aesthetic, he gained attention after appearing on American Idol in 2006. He later signed with Warner Bros. Records and independently released his debut studio album, Neon Nights, in 2021. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lake also works as a professional headshot and fitness photographer featured in multiple publications.

Early life

Jordan Lake was born in Kinston, North Carolina, and raised in Beulaville. He began singing in church and performing in local talent competitions from childhood. In high school, he participated in choir and swing choir, winning awards and singing the national anthem at his graduation.

After departing the label, he adopted the stage name Jordan Lake, collaborated with Katye Bragg, and developed unreleased material while pursuing a career in photography.
