Arthur Bruno Zorn

Arthur Zorn is an accomplished musician and renowed artist from Montpelier, Vermont. As a musician, Zorn has performed in national performances of Handel's "Messiah" and "The Threepenny Opera" as Jon Peachum. Also, Zorn is a noted composer of vocal and piano music. His major pieces, "January 25th, 1945" (about the liberation of Auschwitz) and "Garden Sketches" ( a suite for piano) have been performed all around New England. Currently, Zorn resides in Montpelier, Vermont and teaches vocal music at Spaulding High School. He is currently collaborating with local musician Piero Bonamico Sr. on a light-hearted oratorio due to be completed in the near future.

I addition to his acclaim as a musician, Zorn has received praise from all around the United States and Canada for his impressionist and abstract artwork. His art website, www.arthurzorn.com is currently under construction. For the time being, a work kown as "The Gate" can be seen on his in-progress site.

Dennystown

Dennystown was a district of Dumbarton near the river Leven. It consisted mainly of tenements built to house the workers of the nearby Dennystown Forge. It was locally known as "Little Dublin" due to the large number of Irish immigrants who lived there having come to the town to work in the local industries. The area was largely cleared in the 1960's and blocks of multi-storey flats built on the site.

Pickled Egg

Pickled eggs are a popular bar food noted for their imperishability and acquired taste.

Shelled, boiled eggs are soaked in a cold brine for 2 to 22 days then jarred to be stored in public view.

The brine traditionally imparts a spicy flavor to the eggs. Beer is a traditional beverage of choice when eating pickled eggs. Some consider pickled eggs a delicacy. They are consumed mainly in the United States, although not unilaterally. They are most common in the northern part of the country. Pickled eggs are not associated with any particular holiday.

Trivia:

In an episode of The Simpsons, Homer Simpson selects the "black egg" from Moe the bartender's jar, which Moe declares identifies Homer as the Designated Driver for the night.

Declined please check your sources - the word in German for "money" is "Geld" not "gelt", the German word for "mage" is "der Magier" and the proper combination (Geldmagier - of which I can find nothing) would not be linked with an "a". SkierRMH 02:52, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
