Style of play
Yoon has been utilized as a right winger or attacking midfielder. He is a left-footed player and his dribbling and touch has been compared to Lee Kang-in in South Korea. Before the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, FIFA selected him as one of five Asian talents, describing him as "a skilful dribbler who boasts the ability to contribute vital goals with his cultured left foot in a similar vein to Arjen Robben".{{Cite web |date=October 14, 2023 |title=Five AFC players to watch at Indonesia 2023 |url=https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments/mens/u17worldcup/indonesia-2023/articles/afc-five-players-to-watch-ryunosuke-sato-yun-do-yong-alkan-kaka-amirmohammad-razaghnia-lazizbek-mirzaev |access-date=2025-02-04 |publisher=FIFA |archive-date=August 14, 2024 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240814102242/https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments/mens/u17worldcup/indonesia-2023/articles/afc-five-players-to-watch-ryunosuke-sato-yun-do-yong-alkan-kaka-amirmohammad-razaghnia-lazizbek-mirzaev |url-status=live }} By comparison, the assessments of his speed are not identical to each other. Jung Ji-hun, a journalist of FourFourTwo Korea, praised his speed,{{Cite web |last=Jung |first=Ji-hun |date=February 5, 2024 |script-title=ko:[442.interview] '롤 모델은 손흥민과 이강인' 윤도영, "찰칵 세리머니 해보고 싶어요" |url=https://www.fourfourtwo.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=48238 |access-date=November 4, 2024 |website=FourFourTwo Korea |language=ko}} whereas himself and his international teammate {{ill|Baek Ga-on|ko|백가온}} did not.
Personal life
Yoon cited Lionel Messi as one of his role models in addition to compatriots Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in.
