Żegocina {{IPAc-pl|ż|e|g|o|'|ć|i|n|a}} is a village and sołectwo in Bochnia County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland.{{TERYT}} It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Żegocina. It lies on road number 965, approximately {{convert|21|km|mi|0}} south of Bochnia and {{convert|46|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south-east of the regional capital Kraków.
Origins
The settlement was founded by Wierzbięta in the 12th century.
