On June 11, a small low pressure system was first identified around {{cvt|300|mi|km}} south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec, producing sustained winds which neared {{cvt|30|mph|km/h|round=5}}.{{cite report| author=National Climatic Data Center |title=Unnamed Hurricane, 12-14 June |date=25 July 1994 |publisher=Indiana University Bloomington |url=https://webapp1.dlib.indiana.edu/virtual_disk_library/index.cgi/4274123/FID1030/DATA/TROPIC/ENP_NAR/1956_4.NAR |access-date=10 October 2024}} By 12:00 UTC the next day, the system intensified into a hurricane with sustained winds of {{cvt|75|kn|mph km/h|order=out|round=5}},{{EPAC hurricane best track}} with nearby ship reports indicating that the storm was producing sustained gales. Moving west-northwestward slowly, on June 13, reports from the Portland Star indicated that the hurricane had deepened into a minimum pressure of {{cvt|29.06|inHg|hPa}} and was producing gusts exceeding {{cvt|115|mph|km/h|round=5}}. Never intensifying further than {{cvt|75|kn|mph km/h|order=out|round=5}}, the hurricane tracked north-northwestwards prior to making landfall around {{cvt|150|mi|km}} east-southeast of Manzanillo, in the state of Guerrero.{{EPAC hurricane best track}} Weakening rapidly, the hurricane was last noted on June 14.{{EPAC hurricane best track}}
