The 1973 Richmond Spiders football team represented the University of Richmond as a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon) during the 1973 NCAA Division I football season. Led by eighth-year head coach Frank Jones, the Spiders, compiled an overall record of 8–2 with a mark of 5–1 conference play, placing second in the SoCon, and outscored their opponents 298 to 112.
