The 1986 Masters (also known as the 1986 Nabisco Masters for sponsorship reasons) was a men's tennis tournament. It was the first edition where the round robin format, which is now associated with the event, was reintroduced. As a result the singles field was halved from 16 down to 8 competitors. Lendl defeated Becker in straight sets in a repeat of the 1985 Masters final which took place earlier in the year, in January. In the doubles competition Stefan Edberg and Anders Järryd successfully defended the title.
