Team British Columbia, who was skipped by Kelley Law won the event beating Ontario in the final 9–4. This was BC's eighth title overall and the sixth time a province has won a title on home soil. Law's rink would go onto represent Canada at the 2000 Ford World Women's Curling Championship in Glasgow, Scotland, which they won. The national championship also qualified them for the 2001 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials in Regina, Saskatchewan, which they also won and got to represent Canada at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Ogden, Utah, United States.
