The 2003–04 Buffalo Sabres season was the 34th season of operation for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on May 22, 1970.{{cite book |last=National Hockey League|title=The National Hockey League Official Guide & Record Book/2011|year=2010 |publisher= Triumph Books |page= 27|isbn= 978-1-60078-422-4}} The Sabres failed to qualify for the playoffs for the third consecutive season.

Regular season
